It is hard though. My worst and most recent experience was with my 4yr old daughter. We were in Meijers shopping and my daughter totally flipped out on me. I tried to talk to her and she wouldn't calm down. She was screaming louder than I have ever heard a child tantrum in a store. I was sooo embarrassed but at the same time was NOT going to let her win even though my mom wanted me to give in. She walked away and I grabbed my purse and took my daughter in the bathroom. I made her stand in the corner....screaming her head off until she was ready to calm down. A couple workers walked in and looked at me like at me funny. I just said "this is free birth control." ;) We stayed in there for a good ten minutes until she calmed down. We then finished our shopping w/out anymore problems and haven't had any problems with her since but that doesn't mean it won't ever happen again.
